Film packaging producer — MarDruk

As a producer of film packaging we take responsibility for the whole chain: prepress, multi-colour flexographic printing, lamination, film packaging production (slitting) and batch documentation. This shortens the time to first delivery and simplifies communication: one partner, one quality standard, one schedule.

Producer of printed film packaging — a consistent brand in every batch

A producer of printed film packaging must combine aesthetics and technology. We work on a 'proof = reel' model: approval of the colours and the matt/gloss contrast translates into the effect on the shelf. When designing the layout:

• we plan 'no-print' zones under seals, the date/code and easy-open/laser-score notches,
• we set the backing white where there are dark backgrounds or a metallised layer,
• we ensure the legibility of small typography and pictograms (especially in fresh/cold displays).

Film packaging production — materials and structures

We start the choice of raw material from the product, the line and the goal (barrier/appearance/strength):

• BOPP: transparent, pearl, white, metallised BOPP — stiffness, gloss and a very good 'shelf' effect.
• CPP (cast PP): a reliable seal, low SIT and high hot-tack — the seal layer in PP/PP, doypack, HFFS/VFFS.
• PE: puncture resistance, flexibility, lidding and wrapping of heavier fills.
• PET: dimensional stability, stiffness and resistance; often as the carrier layer in premium laminates.

Example structures:

• Mono PP/PP: BOPP (outer) // CPP (inner) — a pro-recycling direction, fast packing.
• Barrier without aluminium: BOPPmet // CPP or PETmet // PE — coffee, snacks, spices.
• High strength: PET // BOPP // PE/CPP — pet food, frozen food, heavier fills.
• Fresh/chilled: BOPP/PE with anti-fog + macro-perforation for control of condensation and 'breathing'.

Film packaging producers — how to compare offers

In the film packaging industry, producers differ in more than just price. Check:

• colour repeatability (ΔE, colour management, profiles),
• the target COF for your line and guidance (fewer micro-stops),
• seal parameters (SIT/hot-tack) and compatibility with your jaw,
• batch traceability (label: width, running length, structure, COF, date, ID),
• response time on reorders and urgent campaigns (season, retail promotions).

Film packaging — formats and features that make a difference

• Doypack (stand-up pouch) — a large branding area; zip/slider, valve (coffee), window.
• Flat bags and bags with a bottom gusset — simple pack formats, a consistent look in logistics.
• Macro-perforation — control of gases and vapour (salads, bread, mushrooms).
• Anti-fog — clarity in the chill and in self-service.
• Easy-open / peel — convenient opening with a repeatable peel.
• Matt/gloss, soft-touch, alu-look — a premium look without losing function.

Sustainable film packaging — mono-materials and optimisation

More and more of our roll-outs move towards mono-films: PP/PP (BOPP//CPP) or PE/PE (e.g. lidding). We design a barrier without aluminium (metallisation, coatings) and reduce thicknesses to lower the unit weight without losing function. We advise on recycling markings and communication. We meet the PPWR requirements

Frequently asked questions

Film packaging is a flexible solution used to protect, store and present a wide range of products. It is used in many industries, because it can be tailored to requirements for durability, tightness, aesthetics and the packing method.

Film packaging is used, among others, in the food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, chemical and industrial sectors. It works well for packing loose and liquid products, single items, technical components and articles requiring protection against moisture and contamination.

Film packaging is distinguished by its lightness, functionality and the ability to be matched to a specific product. A major advantage is the ability to apply suitable protective barriers, produce an attractive print and adapt the material structure to the requirements of transport, storage and display.

Yes, film packaging is very often produced with bespoke print, which makes the product stand out on the shelf and supports building brand recognition. The print can contain graphic elements, product information, legal markings and marketing messages.

The choice of film packaging should take into account the type of product, its properties, the requirements for tightness and protection, and the method of packing and distribution. Expectations regarding the pack's appearance, the type of film, the seal parameters and any barrier properties are also important.
